Facility Volunteers: Dog Walking, Canine Enrichment, Kennel Assistant, Administrative/Events

Purpose

The Canine Enrichment Volunteer’s purpose is to help reduce stress and enrich the lives of our service dogs in training while they are taking a break from structured training. This can take place in the kennels or a free-play setting. It allows the dogs to fulfill their canine instincts while in a controlled setting.

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

Time: 1:00 - 2:00pm

Qualifications

• Must be capable of handling a service dog in training that can weigh up to 90 lbs.
• Must be at least 16 years old to volunteer independently. Children ages 8-15 can volunteer with a parent or legal guardian (not a sibling) present.
