Facility Volunteers: Dog Walking, Canine Enrichment, Kennel Assistant, Administrative/Events

Purpose

The Kennel Assistant provides assistance to our training staff during AM and PM kennel shifts. This includes assistance with feeding, walking, dressing, and handling our service dogs-in-training. The Kennel Volunteer will report directly to the CFS Staff member leading the kennel shift.

Schedule

Morning: 7 - 9am

Evening: 5 - 7pm

Weekday & Weekend Availability

Qualifications

• Must be capable of lifting at least forty pounds and handling a service dog in training that can weigh up to 90 lbs.
• Must be at least 16 years old to volunteer independently. Children ages 8-15 can volunteer with a parent or legal guardian present.
