Client Advisory Committee
The Client Advisory Committee (CAC) exists to ensure that the voices, experiences, and needs of GCHC clients help shape the programs and services offered by the organization. Rooted in health equity, inclusion, and lived experience, the CAC provides respectful advice, feedback, and guidance to support better health outcomes for all. The CAC works together with staff and leadership to build a stronger, more responsive, and more just community health system.
As a CAC member, you will:
- Share your own experience and ideas (do not speak for others).
- Follow the group’s values and principles.
- Act as a link between clients and staff.
- Give suggestions to improve health services.
- Help staff understand what the community needs.
- Follow the rules for volunteers and clients.
- Add items to the meeting agenda when needed.
- Help bring up problems and work on solutions.
- Represent the CAC at other meetings when asked.
- Share community issues with the Board when needed.
- Keep meeting discussions private when necessary.
- Join board meetings if you’re interested, especially when CAC updates are shared
