Open Volunteer Roles - Chores Team
Help keep Ruff Start Rescue’s shared spaces clean, stocked, and ready for our staff, volunteers, fosters, and animals! Chores Team volunteers will complete a variety of daily housekeeping and restocking tasks throughout the rescue. The task list can look different from day to day. Some days, everything may be completed in about an hour, while other days may take the full two-hour shift or longer. Volunteers who are willing and able may stay beyond their scheduled shift to finish additional tasks. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who enjoy staying busy, working
independently, and making a behind-the-scenes difference at the rescue!
Time Commitment: Chores Team shifts are available Monday through Friday from 12:00–2:00 PM. Volunteers can choose what works best for them:

Sign up for individual shifts whenever you're available

Set up a regular weekly schedule if you'd like a consistent volunteer routine

Stay longer when needed and when your schedule allows
Because the needs vary each day, volunteers should be prepared to prioritize the tasks that need attention that day.
Location: Ruff Start Office in Princeton, MN
Reports to: Office Manager
Responsibilities:

Start new loads of laundry
-
Fold laundry from the dryer & put away

Empty and take out trash
-
Sweep and mop floors as needed
-
Clean the wash tub and surrounding area

Clean items in the wash tub as needed

Load and unload dishwashers
-
Wash or address dishes in the sinks
-
Restock hand soap, paper towels, and hand towels
The complete task list and any additional daily instructions will be available to volunteers when they arrive for their shift.
Qualifications:
-
Volunteers are 16+
-
Are comfortable completing routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks

Can work independently after receiving initial instructions
-
Are dependable and able to follow through on their scheduled shifts

Are comfortable being flexible as daily needs change

Enjoy helping behind the scenes to keep the rescue running smoothly
