Coats for Kids - 2017 Distribution Day - Event Assistant

There is no better feeling than seeing a child put on a coat that he or she has longed for. The smile is priceless and will last in your mind forever. Too many kids go cold in the winter simply because they don't have the luxury of having a nice coat to wear. But we are doing our part to change that and keep them warm.

As a general event assistant volunteer, you will help with various activities such as restocking coats, being a floor setter, client greeter, promotions staff, etc.

Final details will be sent within one week of the event. Parking is free and will be available onsite.

Event location: Blue Ribbon Pavilion, Indiana State Fairgrounds

To ensure the safety of our volunteers, our clients and The Salvation Army; those who sign-up for the Saturday, October 21 Distribution Day will be required to attend a brief orientation including details from The Salvation Army’s Safe From Harm risk prevention program training prior to the start of their scheduled shift. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled beginning of your shift.
