Providing someone with dementia with an activity to stimulate their senses is beneficial in many
ways—it not only stimulates their brain and muscle memory but it is also calming and comforting.

WeCare Gift Bags for Transitional Care Patients

These gift bags help patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery in our Transitional Care Unit feel welcome, comforted,  and cared for.

Each WeCare Gift Bag should include: Chap stick; Tissues; Lotion (unscented); Sudoku, Crossword, etc.; Pencil /Pen; Blank Notebook; Nail File and Clippers; Socks (no - grips). Groups may include other items too. We do ask that you not include food items as some of our patients are on a restricted diet.

Our minimum donation requirement is 10 gift bags.

Welcome Home Baskets for our Independent and Assisted Living Residents

These baskets welcome residents into their new home so that they feel welcomed and lessen their anxiety over this transition in their life. Basket can could: dish soap, hand soap, roll of paper towel; 2 rolls of toilet paper; sponges; laundry detergent; shampoo; body wash/bar soap; tooth brush, tooth paste; plastic utensils or 2 sets of reusable utensils; plates/bowls 2 reusable or paper; box of cereal or granola bars; package of candy. Groups may include other items too.

Our minimum donation requirement is 5 welcome baskets.
