Volunteering with Georgetown Parks & Recreation

Let’s Celebrate! Garey Park Phase 2 has mostly been completed and we are inviting the public to come and enjoy our new amenities! We are looking for volunteers who can help us during the event. Volunteers will be asked to help in any of the following ways.

• Parks & Rec tabling – Hand out swag, maps, and other informational materials.
• Game management – We’ll provide lawn games and fun activities and you’ll help by setting up and running the games!
• Bus Stop management – You’ll help at the bus stop by handing out swag and answering questions
• Amphitheater helper – You’ll help staff manage the different shows and activities that we’ll host at the new outdoor amphitheater.
• Gate House – You’ll help staff manage entry into the park.
• Set up/tear down - You'll assist staff with setting up or taking down tables and tents. 
• Trash monitor - Help keep the park looking nice by keeping an eye out for trash during the event.
