Emergency Disaster Services (EDS)

Emergency Disaster Services (EDS)

From serving firefighters, victims of local house fires, to assisting first responders in disasters, EDS relief efforts are supporting communities in times of significant need. We welcome adult volunteers of all ages to serve at varying levels – from time commitments of just a few hours each month to being available at a moment’s notice.

We need people to join our team who are ready and willing to help at any moment. Team members will respond to local disasters and be eligible to travel with our disaster response team.

To become a disaster volunteer, complete the following steps:

  • Complete your Disaster profile Click here
  • Attend the required Introduction to Emergency Disaster Services course (view course descriptions)
  • Attend additional training courses if needed for your area of specialty

If you are interested in assisting with our disaster response efforts, please reach out to Irene Frye to receive details about the required training and additional forms necessary to serve vulnerable populations.
