Community Day Support Recreation Assistant
The Community Day Support Recreation Assistant will enhance the provision of care within St. Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital by providing a cheerful, welcoming, atmosphere and support a positive recreational and social environment.
The volunteer will assist with program set up and greet and assist clients to their seat. They would then participate and encourage client's participation in scheduled activities. The volunteer is encouraged to visit and socialize with the clients as they participate. On occasion and as competence is identified, volunteers may lead various activities. Finally, the volunteer will assist with the completion and clean- up of activities.
Commitment: one shift (1-2 hours)/week for a minimum of 6 months
Monday-Fridays: 1 pm - 3 pm
