Canada Day at The Confluence Historical Site and Parkland - Site manager support at Indigenous Showcase
Description:
- Site Volunteers will help the site manager with tasks involved with the run of show at the Indigenous Showcase and interact with the public, Elders and dancers.
- Guide elders to the elder’s seating area
- Greet people near tipis to encourage them to attend presentations inside the structures
- Bring tea/water for the Knowledge Keepers throughout the day if requested
- Assist site manager with any tasks
- Keep audience from entering into the powwow circle while dancers perform
- Provide water/tea/coffee refreshments to Emcee, Arena Director, Drum Groups
- Assist in the giving of gifts manager support at Indigenous Spotlight
Qualifications Required
- Age Category Must be at least 16 or older
