Save the Date – Teralta Park Tree Planting with Council District 9

Join us on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Teralta Park to help Grow a Green San Diego! Together with Council District 9 and the City’s Urban Forestry Team, we’ll plant new trees that will provide shade, beauty, and cleaner air for generations to come.

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Location: Teralta Park, 4100 Central Avenue, San Diego, CA 92105

Volunteers will play a key role by planting trees, adding soil and spreading mulch to ensure each tree gets the best start possible. It’s a fun, hands-on way to connect with neighbors and make a lasting difference in our city’s green spaces.

Volunteers will also participant in park painting. Assisting with revitalizing the park with a fresh coat of paint to invite the community to come out and play.

Funding for this project is provided by the USDA Forest Service, Urban and Community Forestry Program. USDA, City of San Diego, and all of its partners are equal opportunity providers and employers.
