General Interests

Cat Cuddling/Pocket Pets

*Must be over 14 years of age

Cat cuddling: Brushing, petting, interactive playing, and giving treats. 

Pocket Pets (small animal) Enrichment: Small animal socialization including rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc. Includes petting and interactive playing.

Bingo

*Must be over 18 years of age

CA Humane requires volunteers to work at our monthly Bingo. This entails selling bingo tickets on the bingo floor, handling money, and helping in the back. Volunteers must be able to commit to a shift.

Dog Enrichment

*Must be over 18 years of age

Dog Enrichment: Brushing, petting, interactive playing, and treat giving.

Please note: All dog Walkers must go through dog enrichment before they can begin walking. 

Dog Walking

*Must be over 18 years of age

Dog Walking: Taking dogs out of their kennels for some much needed exercise and stimulation. Following trails and procedures is a must. 

Please note: Dog walkers must start with dog enrichment.

Events

Volunteers interested in helping with events/fundraisers are added to an email list where every event that CA Humane requires volunteers for would is shared.

Then volunteers can chose based off of the information provided whether they'd like to volunteer for that event. Events include; Annual Garage Sale, Raise the Woof, Pet Portraits, etc. 

Shelter Administration

*Must be over 14 years of age

Includes laundry, dishes, mopping, wiping counters, etc. 

Foster Program

Foster parents take CA Humane animals into their own homes, providing basic care which includes daily exercise, food, grooming, positive reinforcement, socialization, and special care such as medication or training.
