Training 2025 - Dementia Forward Training Session
Dementia Forward is the leading dementia charity for York and North Yorkshire. They provide support, advice and information to anybody affected by dementia across the county, and have developed a comprehensive range of services; all with people living with dementia at their heart.
This session will touch on what Dementia is, the science behind it, as well as ways to identify symptoms, and how to start talking about dementia. It is for anyone who wants to learn more about dementia and ways to support themselves or others.
The session will last for an hour and a half, starting at 10.30am. Due to discussion it may overrun and the latest we expect to finish at 12.30.
The training will take place in the Boardroom in the Tech Hub (old stoneyard). We will meet by the Roman Column at 10.15am for those who have not attended training there before. There are 2 flights of stairs to the room and there is a stair lift.
Due to limited spaces, this training is only available to Minster Volunteers.
