The Salvation Army - Davenport, IA

Help us fight hunger in the Quad Cities! Volunteers are needed to assist with our client-choice food pantry in Davenport, where neighbors in need can select the groceries that best fit their households.

When:

• Wednesdays, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm

• Additional opportunities available for unloading deliveries and stocking shelves

Time Commitment:

• 2–5 hours (flexible scheduling available)

Volunteer Duties:

• Assisting clients with shopping through the pantry

• Stocking shelves and organizing pantry items

• Unloading and sorting food donations (some lifting may be required)

• Tidying and resetting the pantry for the next guests

• Providing a welcoming and respectful experience for everyone who comes through our doors

Ideal candidates are comfortable standing, walking, bending, and are able to lift 20-30 pounds. Youth aged 16 and older can volunteer without an adult present, with a guardian permission form on file.
