Food Pantry - Food Pantry Driver
Play a vital role in keeping our pantry shelves stocked! The Salvation Army Davenport receives donations of bread, produce, and other food items from businesses and food banks throughout the week. We rely on volunteers to help us pick up these donations and bring them back to our food pantry.
When:

Flexible scheduling available; once-a-week drivers especially needed
Volunteer Duties:

Drive a Salvation Army van to pick up food donations from partner stores

Load and unload boxes of food (up to 40–50 lbs)

Weigh in and help organize items upon return to the pantry

Represent The Salvation Army in a positive and professional manner while interacting with community partners
Requirements:

Must be 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance

Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report and background check

Comfortable lifting and carrying boxes of 40–50 lbs

Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded
