There's always work to be done at the Center. The jobs aren't always glamorous, but they do all come with the benefit of getting to observe the wolves. There is no physical contact with the wolves. We offer the following volunteer opportunities.
Assist with programs, set up, and clean up while participating in the educational program as a WCC representative (weekend availability)
We could always use help cleaning, cutting grass, clearing brush, assisting with the various construction tasks and projects that arise (weekday morning/afternoon availability)
Assist with acquisition and handling of road kill deer. This volunteer position is on call, requires a clean driving record, the abilty to lift 60 lbs, and you must live within 15-20 miles of the WCC
Founded by Hélène Grimaud in 1999, the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit environmental education organization working to protect and preserve wolves in North America through science-based education, advocacy, and participation in the federal recovery and release programs for two critically endangered wolf species - the Mexican gray wolf and red wolf. The WCC's 'ambassador wolves' reside on exhibit where they help teach the public about wolves and their vital role in the environment. Through wolves, the WCC teaches the broader message of conservation, ecological balance, and personal responsibility for improved human stewardship of our World.
