Are you ready to make a difference in your community when it matters most? The Encinitas CERT program, managed by the Encinitas Fire Department, trains residents in disaster preparedness and emergency response skills like fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.

The hands-on, free training will help you gain the skills and confidence to support your family, neighbors, and the City of Encinitas when every second counts.

By volunteering with Encinitas CERT, you’ll be part of a team that supports the City of Encinitas prepare for and respond to local emergencies and build community resilience.

Whether it’s wildfire season, an earthquake, or a major storm, CERT volunteers are a vital part of keeping Encinitas safe and resilient.

No experience necessary—just a commitment to helping your community. Participants must be 18 years or older and be an Encinitas resident
