Central Library - Knitting Group facilitaor
Are you passionate about knitting or crocheting and sharing the joy of yarn with others? We’re looking for a mildly talented and enthusiastic knitter, or crocheter, to lead our Drop-In Central Knitting Circle!
What You’ll Do:
- Act as a friendly and approachable facilitator for our circle.
- Encourage participants of all skill levels to join in and have fun.
- Share tips, tricks, and simple techniques to help people improve.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive space for finer arts lovers to connect and spend time together.
- Do not worry this is not a formal instructional role
Who You Are:
- A confident knitter or Crocheter with a love for community engagement.
- Comfortable facilitating small groups and inspiring others to be creative.
- Patient, friendly, and able to adapt to the needs of beginner and intermediate knitters.
Time Commitment: 1 shift a week, shifts are 2 hrs in length and take place on Saturday mornings from 9:45 am - 11:45 am
Age requirement: 18+
Skills & qualifications:
- reliable and on-time
- positive customer service attitude
- welcoming and patient
- ability to coach others
- creative and open to learning new things
- Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check for 18+
Training & Other requirements:
- Training will be provided at the library as needed
