Teen Advisory Group - Pond Mills ( Volunteer must be aged 14 - 17)

Want to help shape the Library's services to teens while earning volunteer hours? Interact with other teens, use the library’s new creative spaces and share your ideas to help create new programs, promote the library and discuss books, games and music. What makes this volunteer opportunity great:

Time commitment: 1 meeting per month, 90 minutes in length at Bostwick Library

Age requirement: 14 -17 years old

Meeting dates/times: 2nd Thursdays, 3:30-5:00 pm

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Respect and support other council members
  • Participate in meetings, council brainstorming and activities
  • Learn how to contribute ideas and get things done
  • Chance to organize and facilitate council meetings and library events
  • Identify ways that staff can help improve the library for youth

Skills & qualifications:

  • Ability to work with others
  • Dependability
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate at an intermediate level ( CBL II) or higher orally and in writing in English.

Training & other requirements:

  • Training will be provided at the library as needed
