Welcome to the Voluntary Services Department at Mid and South Essex (MSE) Hospitals. The MSE group is made up of Basildon, Broomfield and Southend Hospitals. You have come through to the Southend Hospital site. 
As a volunteer you become a member of a dedicated team that aims to support hospital staff to provide the highest quality standards of care to patients. Through the generous gift of your time, skills and personal interests, you supplement the work of staff members in offering many special services that are so important to our patients, their families and hospital staff.
Though material gains may seem few, the greatest reward is the special feeling that comes to those who give of themselves to the benefit of others. Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, serve your community and meet new people
