About Us

Join our efforts from November 1 to December 16, 2023!

For the last 28 years, the English-speaking community of the Greater Québec City region has collaborated in running a successful Community Christmas Hamper Campaign. We distribute Christmas food hampers to over 200 homes in need, which is an enormous challenge with the most heart-warming outcome.

As of Nov. 19, 2023, all volunteer shifts have been FILLED. Thank you!

However, please still consider to sign up to be on the backup list for some of the volunteer opportunities, to do this:

To volunteer for your first time, please →fill in an application.

Or, if you have volunteered in the past, please log into your Better Impact account → by clicking here.

Once you log in, go to the OPPORTUNITIES tab to see the different volunteer opportunities. You will see that there are no available shifts, but for many you can 'Sign up for the back-up list in case you ever need extras' just under the list of qualifications. It will look like this:

Having trouble signing up, go to the My Profile tab then Qualifications to update your information. If your driver's license is expired, or you or your helper cannot lift 25lbs, you may be blocked from signing up for a shift for your own safety.

Questions? Contact Elise Holloway, the Volunteer Coordinator for the hamper campaign, by email at eholloway@jhpartners.net or by phone 581-446-6452.

You can make a difference by giving to the campaign in different ways, like making a monetary donation or organizing a fundraiser! Your monetary donations go towards purchasing the food for the hampers - fruit, vegetables, meats and some non-perishable items. Our biggest purchases are produce, bread, eggs and turkey, which complete a traditional holiday dinner.  With the cost of food still on the rise, we need donations more than ever!

Help us spread the word! See the Partners' section on the qchampers.ca website to download our printable and shareable publicity tools.
