i. St. Joseph's Villa - SJV Ecumenical Service, Wednesdays
The Ecumenical Service is led by different denominational worship ministry leaders every week providing a spiritual/religious service to the residents/patients ie: Christian, United, Lutheran, etc.
Volunteer Role: The volunteer will assist in the service set-up (ie turning on the sound system) and portering residents/patients to and from the chapel.
Procedure/Description: A list of residents/patients names who attend this service will be available at the start of your assignment when you come in weekly. This list is located in the Sacristy (room at back of the Chapel) or through the Chaplain/Spiritual Health Practitioner.
The volunteer will be assigned an area where residents/patients will be portered to and from the Chapel.
If you are unable to come in for your shift, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance, so that we can have time to find a replacement.
The volunteer will check off from the list the residents/patients who attended the service and this list will be given to the Chaplain/SHP or placed in the mailbox in front of her door at the end of the service.
This service runs on weekly routine in Chapel on Wednesdays beginning with setup/p[ordering at 10:40am - 12:00pm, immediately after service on 1st Floor CCC which runs from 10:00am-10:30am.
