Spiritual Care - Share a song with our clients!
Encourage our recovery clients with a song and sharing!
Every weekday morning, our recovery clients attends 15 mins of reflection program (kind of like a morning huddle) where staff shares words of encouragement, bible verses, songs and stories. We are now recruiting volunteers who would like to share and sing songs for our clients during these morning sessions. You can share a song that has significant meaning to you or even a song that you wrote! Include a 2-3 min sharing on what the song means to you, how it's significant to you. You may share Christian or non-Christian songs.
How it works:
1) Contact firstname.lastname@example.org and send the lyrics and recording of the song (if you have any) and why you want to share it in the email.
2) Set up a day to share you song. Our reflection sessions runs between M-F 8:15-8:30am.
3) On the day, prepare to share a 2-4 mins sharing on why you pick this song and what it means to you. Sing the song and let your voice encourage others!
Right now, we are doing these sessions through zoom so volunteers have the flexibility to tune in before work in the morning in the comfort of their own homes. When we do welcome back volunteers in-person in the future, we are open to volunteers coming in-person or remaining virtual.
This can be a one-time or regular activity with flexible commitment. Both group or individual volunteers are welcome. Virtual at the moment.
