North Slope Park - Planting Party
Help us welcome a new chapter at North Slope Park! Join Parks Tacoma and your neighbors for a planting party and add new plants to North Slope Park to celebrate the newly improved playground.
Volunteers will help plant low-maintenance landscaping in an area formerly occupied by arborvitae.
- All ages and abilities are welcome; no experience is necessary.
- Tools and training will be provided. Gloves are recommended.
- Dress for the weather. The work party will take place rain or shine.
What to Bring
Bring a water bottle, snack and gardening gloves if you have them. A limited number of gloves will be available.
Where to Meet
Meet at North Slope Park. Additional check-in details will be provided to registered volunteers before the event.
Where to Park
Free parking is available at Point Defiance Park entrance.
Youth Participant Waiver
If you are under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please come to the event with our Youth Participant Waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
