Position Title: Operations Assistant

Position Category: Administration & Operations (30 hours/year service requirement)

Purpose:

To help zoo staff maintain a safe and positive atmosphere for all staff and volunteers, guests, and animals.

Duties:

• Clock in/out for every shift
• Report to designated supervisor at the beginning of the shift
• Assist Departments with a variety of projects, including but not limited to:
  • Serving as a friendly and helpful Zoo representative for guests
  • Assisting safe guest flow throughout the Zoo
  • Assisting Zoo Security in patrolling grounds to keep an eye out for and report any safety concerns
  • Helping staff maintain a clean environment through sanitization and litter cleanup

Prerequisite Service: Entry Level (0+ Hours)

Qualifications:

• Must complete general zoo orientation with Volunteer Department before scheduling first shift
• Complete on-the-job training of duties listed
