Program Volunteer- Adults with Disabilities
Therapeutic Recreation Services offers recreation opportunities for teens and adults with disabilities. We offer Recreation Nights at the Recreation Center for participants to engage in various activities and socialize with one another. In addition to a recreation night, each group, that is divided by age and ability, attends a community outing, which can include Padres games, movies, museum outings and more.
Volunteers assist City staff with the safety and supervision of participants with disabilities. Volunteers also help in facilitating activity stations and provide encouragement for participant engagement in activities. They will also assist in the set-up, decorating, light meal preparation and clean-up of activities.
