Welcome to Reconciliation Victoria volunteer opportunities page!
Reconciliation Victoria is the statewide body promoting reconciliation across Victoria. This means that we promote deeper understanding, respect and justice for and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
We work closely with - and facilitate connections between - local reconciliation groups and other community groups, the education sector, and state and local government partners. We organise statewide reconciliation forums and promote National Reconciliation Week activities across Victoria.
Here you'll find opportunities to work together with the Reconciliation Victoria Team, Board and Cultural Council in generating greater impact on the importance of reconciliation.
Enjoy looking around this space and if you find something that you'd like to contribute to, please complete our online application form.
We hope to hear from you!

A Victorian identity that reflects our true history, promotes and celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, equity and self-determination.
Our Guiding Principles
We acknowledge that power, privilege and racism shapes relationships.
We develop just, respectful, and meaningful relationships with and between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Victorians.
We ensure that the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to self-determination is at the forefront, always guiding our work.
We work with integrity and hold ourselves and others to account.
Reconciliation is about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Aboriginal Australians talking, walking, and working together to overcome division and inequality and develop respectful and harmonious relationships. It is about addressing and acknowledging our true history and righting the wrongs. It is not one act but a journey that requires a commitment from non-Aboriginal Australians to take ownership and responsibility for their own learning and role in the process of reconciliation.
Reconciliation Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Victoria, and recognises First Peoples continuing connection to lands, waters, and community. We pay our respects to Elders past and present who carry the memories, traditions, cultures, and aspirations of First Peoples, and who forge the path ahead for emerging leaders. We dedicate ourselves to working respectfully with and guided by First Peoples, and to listen and amplify the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in all areas of our work.
