Wayfinders

Wayfinder volunteers are often the first point of contact for patients and their families. These volunteers ensure patients and their families have the best possible experience accessing hospital services. Volunteers help visitors locate areas in the hospital, escorting them to different departments for appointments, delivering flowers and assisting wherever they can. Wayfinders should be comfortable approaching people as they enter and exit the facility. They need to be physically able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and be comfortable pushing a wheelchair to assist if the need arises.
