As a NextGen in Action Volunteer, youβll join the Recreation Team to support programs that bring joy, connection, and engagement to residents. Whether youβre helping with an activity, lending a helping hand, or simply spending time with a resident, your presence will brighten someoneβs day.
π¨ Activities You May Help With:
π Assisting with reading groups and book clubs
π§© Puzzles, games, and trivia challenges
π Bingo, birthday celebrations, and themed events
π¨ Arts, crafts, and creative workshops
πΆ Accompanying residents on walks
π Exercise and movement programs
π Special events like holiday teas and parties
π Supporting staff on volunteer outings
π€ Why Join Us?
This is more than just volunteering - itβs an opportunity to:
β¨ Earn academic credits for Volunteerism 30 or community service hours
π Explore healthcare careers and learn more about the field
π‘ Build life skills like communication, empathy, and teamwork

Commit 2.5 hours per week for 10 weeks (25 hours total)

You will be paired with another youth volunteer and scheduled for one shift per week, keeping the same shift for all 10 weeks

- Mondays 1pm-3:30pm
- Wednesdays 1pm-3:30pm

Do you love gardening and spending time outdoors? Join us as a Horticulture Volunteer and help create a beautiful, peaceful outdoor space that residents can enjoy and connect with nature π·π.
π About the Role:
Youβll share your gardening talents while visiting with residents, enhancing their outdoor experience during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Your help will bring joy and a sense of calm to our community.
π± Volunteer Duties May Include:
π§ Watering and feeding plants
πΏ Transplanting and replanting flowers and shrubs
πΌ Weeding garden beds
βοΈ Trimming and pruning plants as needed
π§Ή Maintaining tidiness and beauty in the garden area
