New Volunteer Customer Service Training Certificate
Habitat for Humanity Hamilton is excited to announce its new Volunteer Customer Service Training Certificate Program!
Are you having trouble finding a summer job? Do you want to earn real customer service experience, and have proof that you know best practice for customer service in a retail environment?
Participate in 40 hours of in-store volunteering to earn our new Volunteer Customer Service Training Certificate, and build the skills to set yourself apart from your peers for a job application. 100% of the profits made from our ReStores goes towards furthering our mission of creating safe, affordable homes for families in Hamilton, so you'll be giving back to the community!
Join our ReStore team at either of our locations on Nash or Stone Church! Volunteer shifts are 4 hours, starting at 9am or 1pm. The ReStores are open Monday to Saturday. Our ReStore volunteers help us with customer service including loading and unloading items, organizing merchandise, tidying and cleaning and answering customer questions.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to join us as a ReStore volunteer.
Volunteers who are using these hours for community service or high school hours are required verify to you are eligible to volunteer with Habitat Hamilton. Please email volunteers@habitathamilton.ca for more information.
Volunteers must complete a volunteer application and all required training prior to signing up for their first volunteer shift.
REQUIRED TRAINING:
Once you have completed your volunteer application, click on the Opportunities tab to find the training modules. Modules must be completed in order listed below.
- Step 1 - New Volunteer Online Orientation
- Step 2 - for ReStore Volunteers, ReStore Online Safety Training
- Step 3 - for ReStore Volunteers, 5 Customer Service Training Modules
- ReStore Onboarding shift at either Nash or Stone Church ReStore
