Habitat Hamilton is building strength, stability and self-reliance for families in our community. The work we do cannot happen without the support of the volunteers. All volunteers are required to complete volunteer onboarding and training for each volunteer opportunity.

Join our ReStore team at either of our locations on Nash or Stone Church! Volunteer shifts are 4 hours, starting at 9am or 1pm. The ReStores are open 6 days per week. Our ReStore volunteers help us with customer service including loading and unloading items, organizing merchandise, tidying and cleaning and answering customer questions.
Volunteers must complete a volunteer application and all required training prior to signing up for their first volunteer shift.
REQUIRED TRAINING: Online Orientation and ReStore Online Safety Training prior to coming in for their first shift, that has the ReStore Training Shift. Once you have completed your volunteer application, click on the Opportunities tab to find these training modules
Did you know that all products that we sell in our ReStores are donated items? Before we put them on the sales floor, our Fix-It Shop volunteers help us to ensure they are in good working order by testing, fixing, repairing and assembling items.
If you are handy and good with tools, this role might be for you! Volunteer shifts are 4 hours, starting at 9am or 1pm, from Monday to Friday.

Did you know most of the kitchens you see for sale in our ReStore have been removed from donors homes by our Salvage Team? Our Salvage Team members all have their own tools and transportation that they use for salvages.
If are looking for a hands-on experience, working with a great group of folks, this volunteer opportunity may be for you.

Habitat Hamilton is constructing a 5-unit townhome on Sherman Ave N, Hamilton. We are welcoming community member to join onsite to help us with completing these homes. We have some corporate build days scheduled and there are more corporate groups joining us onsite throughout the year. We may have to adjust the community build days to accommodate corporate groups.
Habitat Hamilton has a partnership with both school boards as part of our Youth Build Program. High school students from both boards who are part of the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) are onsite throughout the school year and have hands on construction opportunities.
Volunteers must complete a volunteer applications and all required training.
