John Curtin Weekend - John Curtin Weekend Parkerville Home Maintenance 1 2022

Parkerville Children and Youth Care is a Not-For-Profit organisation located throughout Western Australia. Their mission is to protect, care, advocate for and promote recovery for children and young people who have experienced trauma from abuse, to support families and to work with the community to prevent child abuse.

Volunteers will be working with young people aged 14 - 16 from the Education, Employment and Training (EET) program. 

Volunteer duties may include (please note that some duties may change as the weekend draws nearer and it becomes clearer to our community partners where volunteer support would be most valuable):

  • General gardening
  • Assisting with fire breaks
  • Planting veggie gardens
  • Setting up nursery plants

When: Friday 9 September 2022

Transport: Transport provided by Curtin Volunteers!

Depart for Parkerville from Curtin University: Friday 9 September at 7.45am

Return to Curtin University: Friday 9 September at approximately 3.15pm 

Requirements: English competence to understand instructions, basic physical fitness.

Cost: $20 (includes transportation, meals and a CV! t-shirt)

Please note: In some instances, activities might have to be cancelled or the times changed due to unforeseen circumstances. We will try our best to avoid this happening but please be aware that the hours for these volunteering activities cannot be guaranteed until after the completion of the activity.
