John Curtin Weekend - John Curtin Weekend Chittering 1 2022

Peace Be Still, Chittering serves as a guest house, retreat centre or workshop venue. It is situated on a farm with bushland adjoining the Avon Valley National Park allowing access for extensive bushwalking.

 

Volunteers will be assisting with various jobs including the following (Please note that some duties may change as the weekend draws nearer and it becomes more clear to our community partners where volunteer support would be most valuable):

 

  • Maintenance on the walk trail
  • Clearing the site and approaching track and cages
  • Erecting railings
  • Making drain-offs
  • Carrying wood into the site

 

When: Friday 30 September to Sunday 2 October 2022


Transport: 
Transport provided by Curtin Volunteers! Meet at Curtin flagpoles on Friday 30 September by 2:30pm

Arrive at Site: Friday 30 September at 4:30pm

Depart from Site for Curtin University: Sunday 2 October at 1:00pm

Return to Curtin University: Sunday 2 October at approximately 2.30pm

Requirements: Reasonable physical fitness

Cost: $60 (includes transportation, accommodation (if applicable), meals and a CV! t-shirt)

Please note: In some instances, activities might have to be cancelled or the times changed due to unforeseen circumstances. We will try our best to avoid this happening but please be aware that the hours for these volunteering activities cannot be guaranteed until after the completion of the activity.
