Volunteers help patients tell their stories in a myriad of ways. Legacy work may include but is not limited to sharing life stories, values, and beliefs, expressing gratitude and, possibly, reflecting on regrets, and offering blessings and guidance to loved ones. Legacy work may be as straightforward as writing a note or letter, recording words of wisdom, singing a favorite song, or as involved as writing a complete life story.
