Fringe Festival First Aid Team


FIRST AID TEAM

The First Aid Team is there when accidents happen! They are responsible for the safety of all Fringers (Patrons, Staff, Volunteers, and Artists). This team operates a treatment room on site and patrols Festival grounds. In an emergency, they are Festival first responders and will be required to address the incident and liaise with emergency personnel. All Volunteers on this team must have a minimum of Standard First Aid and CPR Level C training. 

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Patrol Festival grounds in teams and respond to emergency situations 
  • Provide first aid to Fringers 
  • Complete appropriate incident reports and paperwork 
  • Liaise with Festival Security and emergency personnel to ensure patients receive proper and timely care 
  • Provide assistance with the Lost Little Fringer Program 

 

 

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Must be 18+ years of age 
  • Must have a minimum of Standard First Aid and CPR Level C or equivalent certification 
  • Must successfully complete a Police Information and Vulnerable Sector Check 
  • Physically and mentally capable of working under pressure 
  • Fluent in spoken and written English 

 

 

Shift Length & Hours 

  • Shifts are approximately 4 - 5 hours in length 
  • Shifts occur between the hours of 10:45 AM to Midnight
