TPCHF - Charlies Angels - Cancer Care Services (CCS)

As a ‘Companion Angel’ we would be grateful if you could build relationships with patients and their visitors by providing encouragement, friendship and support, in  partnership with the staff of The Prince Charles Hospital, through targeted activities and social engagements.

The Cancer Care Services department has cared for patients with cancer at The Prince Charles Hospital for several decades. Pulmonary malignancies remain the predominant diagnoses; however recent years have seen the growth in the number of patients with other cancers.

To this point in time, oncology has been part of the Thoracic Program at The Prince Charles Hospital but has, in 2010, begun the strategic move to Internal Medicine Services. The role of the multidisciplinary Oncology Service at The Prince Charles Hospital is to provide evidence based inpatient and outpatient management, Cancer Care research and teaching.

Cancer Care Services are open 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday and located in Building Six.

Volunteer shifts for Cancer Care Services are 8am - 12pm or 12pm - 4pm, Monday to Friday.
