TPCHF - Charlies Angels - Palliative Care Services

As a ‘Companion Angel’ we would be grateful if you could build relationships with patients and their visitors by providing encouragement, friendship and support, in  partnership with the staff of The Prince Charles Hospital, through targeted activities and social engagements.

The Palliative Care Service provides care for people who have a life limiting illness with little or no prospect of a cure, and for whom the primary treatment goal is quality of life. The aim is to support care within inpatient units, Palliative Care outpatient and home care settings. Patients who are accepted within the Palliative Care Service often identify with limited life expectancy and complex symptoms associated with disease or treatment.

The Palliative Care Unit operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is located in Building 6.

Volunteer shifts for the Palliative Care Unit are 8am - 12pm or 12pm - 4pm, Sunday through to Saturday.
