WHY VOLUNTEER AT THE PRINCE CHARLES HOSPITAL FOUNDATION?
This is why...
When we hear heart disease, it's human nature to think of middle-aged men suffering from heart attacks. It’s not very often we hear about stories of young women who suffer from heart failure - but the truth is it’s more common than you would think!
Bec Craven was just 24 years old when she contracted a common cold. After little improvement, the virus made it's way to her heart. She was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. This meant Bec would have to undergo a heart transplant just to make it through the year. She wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for newly developed technology that had been supported by funds raised for research through this foundation.
Every single minute, every hour, day or event that YOU volunteer gives us the ability to fund more hours of research into developing these life-changing technologies. We can't do it without you!
Sign up today. Be a part of Bec's story. Be a part of millions of people experiencing chronic illness stories. Volunteer to help us fund research for care and cures of heart and lung diseases, dementia and osteoarthritis. Be part of the change for the better.
And watch this ...
