Handyperson

Got a knack for fixing things? The Toolbox has hundreds of tools and pieces of equipment that need someone like you to keep them in good shape - assessed, maintained, and ready for the next member who needs them.
This is a satisfying, hands-on role where your practical skills make a direct difference. You'll work at your own pace, and there's always something interesting to diagnose.
What you'll do:
Carry out repairs and scheduled maintenance on tools and equipment (non-electrical), and assess items to make sure they're safe and ready to borrow.
Time commitment:
Flexible - we can work around you. This role doesn't need to be tied to our regular opening hours, so if you'd rather come in on a weekday or do a longer occasional session than a regular short one, let's talk.
What you'll need:
Practical repair experience (no formal qualifications required for non-electrical work), and a current Working With Vulnerable People Card (they're available from Access Canberra and FREE if you're a volunteer).
