Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum

It's event day! Join our setup crew for the crucial, high-energy push to get the grounds gala-ready. We have two shifts available - an early crew and a later crew - so pick whichever works for your schedule. Specific team assignments will be communicated via email in the days leading up to the event, so you'll know your group and team lead before you arrive.

Focus Teams (you'll be placed on one):

• 🍽️ Dinner Table Styling — Set up guest tables with napkins, programs, bidder pads, pens, wine keys, and table numbers. Keep centers clear for centerpieces.
• 🎟️ Silent Auction — Transport and display auction items, pair with signage and bid sheets, set up checkout tech (iPads/computers).
• 🍷 Bar Prep & Stocking — Move wine, beer, liquor, and ice to coolers across 3 bar stations; set up cocktail napkins and bar menu signs. Heavy lifting required.
• ✨ Site & Stage Décor — Transport and place decorative accents at the entrance, photo spots, stage, guest tables, and cocktail tables.
• ⚡ Event Support & Check-In — Assist with auction setup, prep the check-in area, jump in on high-priority finishing touches.

Physical Requirements: Light to heavy, role dependent — from hauling heavy cases of drinks and ice to detailed table/decor staging.

Location/Conditions: 100% outdoors/under tent, full shift on feet across grass, gravel, and uneven terrain. Rain or shine.

What to Wear: Closed-toe shoes required (sneakers or boots). Weather-appropriate clothes you can move in. Sun protection and work gloves recommended.

• Shift B (Mid-Day Polish): 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM — 10 volunteers needed
