Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum

Shift: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Done right as kickoff starts—beat the traffic!)

Got a few hours before the UT game? Help us put the finishing touches on our biggest event space of the year! Just like Friday, this shift is all about physical setup, hauling gear, and dialing in the final layout under and around our massive event tent before the gala kicks off.

Your Game Plan:

• Handle final heavy lifting, moving, and positioning of remaining tables and chairs.
• Set up final signage, outdoor accents, and accent décor around the grounds.
• Assist with last-minute heavy site prep to make sure the venue is completely ready.

Traffic & Timing Note

The Volunteers kick off at noon! By starting at 9:00 AM and wrapping up right at 12:00 PM, you’ll avoid the worst of the game day congestion and get your morning workout in before sitting down to watch the game.

What to Expect (The Real Talk)

• Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy. You’ll may be hauling folding tables, arranging chairs, and moving site equipment across grass and dirt lawn terrain. Or you'll be doing light work to get all the pieces ready for the last-minute crush on Sunday.
• Under the Tent & Outdoors: Rain or shine. Work will take place under the big tent and outdoors across the grounds—be prepared for weather, dust, and grass.
• What to Wear: Comfortable, durable work clothing, sun protection, and sturdy closed-toe shoes.
