Event Volunteer - Weekend Volunteer Opportunity – Art Exhibit in the KBGA Carriage House

Looking for a meaningful way to spend a weekend morning in May? Knoxville Botanical Garden & Arboretum is hosting its first art exhibit in recent years, and we're looking for warm, curious volunteers to help bring it to life. You'll spend two hours in a beautiful exhibit space created inside the KBGA Carriage House showcasing original work by local artists Ashlee Mays and Annie Rochelle. You'll welcome visitors, answer questions, and help connect people with artwork that's available for purchase.

To help you feel prepared, volunteers will receive a short video walkthrough from Ashlee and Annie prior to your shift, along with handouts containing information at the exhibit itself.

The exhibit is part of AVIFAUNA 2026, a month-long regional celebration of birds and their relationship with human life, organized by the Museum of Infinite Outcomes.

Volunteer shifts are available Saturday mornings 10am-12pm and Sunday afternoons 1-3pm, (plus select Tuesdays) throughout May, with just one to two spots per shift. It's a low-key, rewarding way to support local artists, connect with fellow community members, and spend a morning surrounded by nature and creativity at one of Knoxville's most beloved green spaces.
