Event Volunteer - KBGA End of Summer 2026 - Litter Pick Up Day!

Help Us Beautify the Streets Around Knoxville's Botanical Garden!

Join volunteers from Knox County Master Gardeners, Native Plant Rescue, and Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum for a morning of community service, fresh air, and good company - then stick around to soak in the late-summer blooms!

  • When: Saturday, August 29th, 2025 | 9:00 AM – Noon
  • Where: Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum, 2743 Wimpole Avenue
  • Parking: Free parking and sign-in across the street from the Visitors Center on Wimpole Avenue

Grab a friend, bring the kids, or come solo - volunteers of all ages are welcome! Together, we'll pick up litter on the streets surrounding the Garden, making a real, visible difference in our community.

We've got you covered with:
✅ Litter pickers
✅ Gloves
✅ Safety vests
✅ Trash bags

What to bring: Sunscreen, bug spray, and water. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants are recommended.

The best part? Once the work is done, reward yourself with a peaceful stroll through the Botanical Garden - admission is always free.

It's a win-win: a cleaner Knoxville and a beautiful garden to enjoy. Come be part of it!
