General Interests

Car parking & Marshalling Events

Rotary clubs are often called upon as trusted supporters for a range of community, local and state events. Sometimes this is a way to directly serve our community through volunteering, other times it enables a club to add to the fundraising.

Volunteers in this role are often the first person an attendee meets when arriving at an event.

Homeless & Vulnerable People

Serving our less fortunate communities and individuals.

This may be preparing and / or serving food, helping at a drop in centre etc. One way we volunteer is by helping out Eddie's Van over the summer.

Volunteer & Stall Holder Support

Do you bring Camp Mum energy?

Because volunteers need love too! At bigger events a team of of vollies look after other volunteers, stall holders etc by keeping them hydrated, delivering meals, checking in on them etc. This is suitable for all everyone, not just the mums.

Event Decorating & Signage

This one is for all our creative people ... putting up signage, decorating tables, balloon arches, rolling out the red carpet... if this sounds like you ... let us know. Handy people for outdoor signage and parking signs are also useful.

Hosting Kid's Zones

We encourage our Blue Card holding volunteers to help in these areas.

Saving the Planet

Want to help save the planet? Perhaps we'll start with cleaning up a local creek with Bushcare Brisbane.

Quandamooka Festival Volunteering 2026

All festivals rely on kindness of volunteers to help the wheels turn, this allows artists, stall holders and attendees to participate in a wonderful and rewarding experience. Our hope is for volunteers to complete a shift (or two) then go on to enjoy the festival themselves.

Quandamooka Festival is a two-day celebration of Culture, Country and Community, centred at the award-winning QUAMPI Arts & Cultural Centre on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island). Volunteers are requested Thursday 10 - Tuesday 15 September.

Saturday’s outdoor main-stage program will feature ceremony, traditional and contemporary dance, and a full day of live music.

Sunday offers a more intimate way to experience the Festival, with QUAMPI Conversations bringing together expert panellists for artist talks and discussions.

Help with setting up and packing down in the two days either side of the festival would be appreciated which may suit you better than the weekend.

GETTING THERE: Confirmed volunteers will receive complimentary Sealink Passenger Ferry access there and back.

WHAT TO EXPECT: A fun and ever changing experiences, new friends possibly a whale sighting! Water and light meal will be provided.

WHAT TO WEAR FESTIVAL DAYS: Closed toe shoes are a requirement. Please wear a red top.

WHAT TO WEAR BUMP IN & OUT: Closed toe shoes are a requirement.

Mission Statement

At Rotary we provide service to others, promote integrity, and hope to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

Together, we see a world where people unite to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves.

The Better Impact platform helps the Rotary Club of Brisbane connect not only Rotarians, but individuals and organisations who are interested in volunteering or seeking volunteers in our region.
