Cat Town offers visitors and potential adopters the chance to meet and interact with cats in a comfortable environment at our Adoption Center. Volunteer Cat Town Hosts help visitors engage with our cats, share information about Cat Town’s mission and ensure guests have a positive experience. This is a customer service role and does not usually allow for time to engage with the cats. Light cleaning is also required.
Transport volunteers are responsible for safely and efficiently transporting cats and/or supplies to and from various locations. You would need to have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and insurance, and be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Essentials volunteers are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for the cats and guests at Cat Town. This may include cleaning and sanitizing litter boxes, studios and common areas, and/or making minor repairs to the facility. You should have experience with cleaning and basic maintenance, and be comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment and be able to bend and lift up to 20 pounds.
Marketing and promotion volunteers are responsible for helping improve our public visibility and engagement to secure goodwill, inspire support, and attract adopters. Marketing and promotions volunteers support Cat Town with roles in social media, website maintenance, events support, project coordination, writing, design, sales, and more.
Admin volunteers provide administrative assistance such as filing, copying, scanning, organizing files, answering phones and monitoring and ordering supplies. you should have strong organizational and communication skills. Digital management volunteers should be be comfortable with basic computer tasks, managing our system data, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Cat Care volunteers provide socialization for shy or cats with special behavior needs. Care may also include grooming, administering medication, and special care for specific needs. You should have experience with cat care and knowledge of cat behavior, and be comfortable handling cats.
Cat Town's mission is to transform the approach to saving shelter cats, reducing euthanasia nationwide. Our focus is to find great homes for cats who are considered unadoptable in the traditional rescue model.
