Support our Vigil Volunteer Program by becoming a Vigil Coordinator. Coordinators provide administrative support for the Pastoral Care team to schedule vigil shifts by emailing and calling volunteers. Vigils are sporadic and unpredictable. The Coordinator should be flexible and able to work on a short-notice basis. Sitting vigil is not required for this position.
Location of volunteer position: St. John’s Lutheran Home, Main Campus on West End
Time commitment: 1 year commitment to be available by phone for regular, on-call shifts during normal business hours; may work from home or in the Pastoral Care office
Qualifications and requirements: Must be able to use email and phone and have the willingness to learn how to use the volunteer software; background check, HIPAA Training; TB test and Flu shot are also required if sitting vigil
