Visual Arts

If you are interested in the Visual Arts, you can help us to improve the lives of others and make a positive difference in your community!

Arundel Lodge provides programs and services to improve the lives of children, adults and families impacted by mental health and substance use disorders; and the Arts Program creates a safe, supportive environment for a community of artists to grow, gain confidence, and create expressive works that come from their hearts. Individuals report that these activities aid in their overall recovery.

Volunteer opportunities include:

Day Program Classroom AssistantAssist the Art Teacher during regularly scheduled classes by helping clients with their art projects and helping keep the art room and materials organized and ready to use for the next class.  Art classes are held Monday through Thursday mornings.  We’re especially looking for folks to be available each week at the same time.  Art classes are held Monday through Thursday mornings.

Open Eye Gallery Assistant: Arundel Lodge artists show their work in various venues around the county. You can help make their art work shine! Help frame art; maintain and write artist bios and tags for display; hang and take down art shows, including art in the Open Eye Gallery at Arundel Lodge, which showcases new works by artists in an ongoing exhibition throughout our main campus building.

Volunteers should have an interest in art, a desire to help others, and an awareness and compassion towards individuals living with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
