St. Paul's Hospital - Hospitality/ Wayfinding Ambassador

The Hospitality / Wayfinding Ambassador is a qualified adult volunteer who enjoys meeting the public. Wayfinding volunteers are a friendly, welcoming face and in most cases, the first point of contact for new patients and visitors to St. Paul's Hospital. 
 
Wayfinding Volunteers have an important role in greeting patients and visitors as they arrive at the hospital with the ultimate goal of improving the patient experience. Wayfinding volunteers are a friendly, welcoming face for everyone arriving at St. Paul's. 
 
Volunteers in this role should have excellent customer service skills and a warm, friendly helpful personality. Volunteers should be able to engage in friendly conversation, possess good listening skills, and display sensitivity to the needs of people from all social and ethnic backgrounds. This position will involve 2-3 hours of walking.   
 
Duties include welcoming of staff, patients and visitors; provide directions; be an escort to Wards or Clinics from the Patient Registration Department as required, provide referral to the Information Desk (or phone) for patient information. 
 
Volunteers must complete screening requirements as well as orientation and training for this role.  

Weekly commitment of one shift per week for at least 6 months is preferred 

Volunteers must be at 16 years or older

Shifts times available:    Friday  8:00 am - 11 am   

                                           Tuesday & Friday   11am - 2 pm
