Volunteer Opportunity – Gift Shop Volunteer
Eligibility:
• Must be at least 16 years old
Role Description:
The Gift Shop Volunteer helps create a welcoming and positive environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role involves providing friendly customer service and assisting with daily gift shop operations. Volunteers enhance client experience while supporting fundraising efforts that directly benefit patient care and services.
Qualifications:
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff
- Strong communication skills
- Respectful and inclusive of diverse populations
- Sensitive to the needs of patients, visitors, and staff
- Aware of and respectful toward cultural, financial, and age differences
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Adequate conversational English to follow instructions, complete tasks, communicate effectively, and adhere to safety and organizational policies
Shift Availability:
• Tuesday / Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Supervision:
Volunteers are supported by the Gift Shop Manager and staff throughout their shifts, while also being able to manage tasks on their own when needed and appropriately trained.
