As residents and visitors alike, we realize that every individual plays a part in keeping the three forks of the Flathead pristine for future generations. That’s why active stewardship is such a critical piece of the puzzle for Flathead Rivers Alliance in preserving the 219+ miles of the three forks of the Flathead Wild & Scenic River. This can show up in many ways, but we can all start by doing our part to care for the river and encourage others to do the same. Together we will get our hands wet and help however we can to make these programs and projects a success.
We aim to partner with community stakeholders and management agencies to better educate the public on issues and threats facing the three forks, and do so by focusing on areas that will lessen the pressure on this incredible resource. Consider volunteering for one of our summer volunteer programs: River Ambassador, River Recreation/Citizen Scientist, & Water Quality Monitoring.
